I was born in Wenatchee and raised in East Wenatchee, graduating from Eastmont High School in 1975 as co-valedictorian. I went straight to the University of Washington, completing my undergraduate pre-requisites for dental school in less than three years. I went on to graduate from the UW Dental School in 1982.
